Mytilene
Sailing Club is a new sailing club (established in 2012), operating
on Lesvos island in Greece.
We have children’s dinghies of the Optimist and Laser classes, as well as groups for the adults with
offshore sailing boats.
Our
members and athletes are experienced in sailing and navigation and
our coaches are licensed by the General Secretariat for Sports.
Moreover, we have trained staff for race organization and jury, by
the Hellenic Sailing Federation and the Greek Offshore Committee.
Our
basic aim is teaching and spreading the sport to the people in our
area. The development of the athletic spirit and the cultivation of
the love for the sea and whatever it offers to children is a
fundamental element for us.
Our
club apart from the classes, runs a program of race organization
between our club and other clubs in the Aegean Archipelago. This
includes dinghy races and offshore races as well. We also take part
in racing events of other clubs of national and international range
such as the Aegean Regatta.
